Sources: Tim Brewster has resigned from role at Colorado

Tim Brewster has resigned after one season at Colorado and two under Deion Sanders, sources tell FootballScoop.

Sources tell FootballScoop that Deion Sanders has a new opening on his staff at Colorado.

Tim Brewster has resigned, sources say.

Brewster coached the team's tight ends and joined the staff last December. He was also spent 2022 on Prime's staff at Jackson State.

A coaching veteran of nearly four decades, Brewster has long been regarded as one of the top recruiters in the sport. He spent 1989-97 under Mack Brown at North Carolina, then joined him at Texas, where he changed the program forever by recruiting Vince Young out of Houston.

Brewster then spent five seasons coaching tight ends in the NFL before becoming the head coach at Minnesota, where he took the Gophers to two bowl games in four seasons.

From there, Brewster coached wide receivers or tight ends at Mississippi State, Florida State, Texas A&M, North Carolina and Florida before helping Deion Sanders make college football history by landing the Colorado job. He was a member of FSU's 2013 national championship team.
