Tyler Santucci led the ACC's top defensive unit as the defensive coordinator at Duke last season.
He's now set to land a new play calling opportunity in the league.
Sources confirm that Santucci is expected to be the new defensive coordinator at Georgia Tech on Brent Key's staff. Matt Zenitz has reported the same.
Santucci, who was a nominee for the Broyles Award this past fall, spent last season at Duke calling the defense for Mike Elko. The Blue Devils led the league in scoring defense in 2023.
At 35, Santucci is one of the country's youngest defensive play callers, and he previously coached the linebackers at Texas A&M (and was also co-defensive coordinator in 2022) and was an analyst at Notre Dame, working under Elko at both stops.
Zenitz adds that Georgia Tech is also expected to add Duke co-defensive coordinator / defensive line coach Jess Simpson as a defensive assistant on the staff as well.
Simpson has previous stops at Miami and in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons.
