Sources confirm to FootballScoop that Miami is elevating former Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor to serve as defensive ends coach.
Susan Miller Degnan of the Miami Herald was the first to share the news.
Taylor spent last season on Mario Cristobal's staff as a defensive analyst.
Before joining the 'Canes staff in 2022, Taylor spent a few seasons on the staff of high school power St. Thomas Aquinas (FL), where he started off coaching the defensive line before being elevated to defensive coordinator in 2020.
In Taylor, the Canes are adding a former NFL great that was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a member of the 2017 class.
His career spanned 15 seasons, 233 games, and he was selected to the Pro Bowl an impressive 6 times while recording over 139 sacks, 46 forced fumbles, and scoring 6 defensive touchdowns.
