Sources: FCS school to name 27-year-old as offensive coordinator (Dane Stevens)

West Georgia is set to name Dane Stevens is next offensive coordinator, sources told FootballScoop on Tuesday. The news was first reported by 247Sports

Stevens, 27, is believed to be the youngest offensive coordinator in Division I. 

West Georgia will transition into FCS in 2024 as a member of the United Athletic Conference, 

Stevens joins West Georgia after spending two seasons at Ole Miss as the Rebels' assistant quarterbacks coach. There, he assisted in the development of quarterback Jaxson Dart. Dart threw for 3,364 yards with 23 touchdowns and five interceptions as the Rebels went 11-2 and won the Peach Bowl. 

The Georgia native walked on at USC and worked as a student assistant before transitioning to a graduate assistant.
