Darrin Chiaverini will be the next head coach at Northeastern State, sources shared with FootballScoop.
Northeastern State is a Division II school in Tahlequah, Okla. The RiverHawks went 1-10 this fall; the school announced head coach JJ Eckert will not return on Nov. 13.
Chiaverini recently completed his first season as the head coach at Chaffey College, a junior college in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. He led the Panthers to an undefeated season in his only season on the job.
Prior to Chaffey, Chiaverini spent 2016-21 as assistant head coach / wide receivers & offensive coordinator at his alma mater Colorado (including a brief stint as interim head coach), and 2014-15 as the special teams coordinator / outside receivers at Texas Tech. He was an offensive analyst at UCLA in 2022.
