Sources: Jace Rindahl is expected to take over at D-III power Wisconsin-Whitewater (Wisconsin-Whitewater)

Sources tell FootballScoop that Jace Rindahl is expected to be announced as the new head coach at Wisconsin-Whitewater (D-III) as early as today.

Rindahl stepped in as the team's interim head coach following the retirement of Kevin Bullis, who led the team for seven seasons and compiled a 78-13 record.

After an All American career as a linebacker for the program, he joined the Warhawks staff as linebackers coach and special teams assistant for a few seasons from 2009-13.

In 2015, after two seasons coaching the running backs at South Dakota State (FCS), Rindahl joined the staff for a second stint, this time mentoring the linebackers and carrying the additional title of run game coordinator.

He spent the 2020 season as the defensive coordinator on an interim basis before being elevated to the permanent role heading into the 2021 season.

Bullis promoted Rindahl to assistant head coach prior this past fall.

Rindahl takes over one of the premier programs in Division III football, with the resources and expectations to compete for national titles.

The Warhawks have won 38 conference titles, and six national titles with a staggering 51-9 record in the postseason, but have not brought home a national title since 2014.
