Sources: Jason Eck's staff at New Mexico is quickly coming together (New Mexico)

Sources tell FootballScoop that Jason Eck's staff is coming together quickly.

After an impressive 26-13 run at Idaho, Eck is set to bring a number of key Vandals assistants with him to the FBS level, starting with both coordinators.

Sources share that offensive coordinator Luke Schleusner and  defensive coordinator Dan Jackson will both join Eck.

Also, offensive line coach Cody Booth and defensive line coach Loni Fangupo are making the trip south as well, sources tell FootballScoop.

Others from the Idaho staff may also join them, as Eck continues to sort out his Lobos staff.

Schleusner has carved out a reputation as one of the most creative play callers in college football, and he made an immediate impact with the Vandals in terms of both points per game (ranking as high as 13th nationally), as well as yards per game (as high as 433 in 2022) in his time with the program.

Jackson joined the staff back in January, after spending the previous eight seasons at South Dakota State. He previously worked alongside Eck for a handful of seasons with the Jackrabbits and brings FBS experience from Northern Illinois and Vandy.

The staff under Eck will take on a job where the Lobos have made just 12 bowl games in program history, with half of those coming during an 11-season span from 1997-2007. Their last bowl appearance was 2015.

As always, stay tuned to The Scoop for the latest.
