Sources shared with FootballScoop today that Jedd Fisch is planning on raiding a fellow PAC-12 South program for key position on his offensive staff.
UCLA wide receivers coach / passing game coordinator Jimmie Dougherty is being targeted for a role on Fisch's staff, sources told FootballScoop. We understand Fisch is planning to bring Dougherty to Tuscon in a senior capacity on offense.
Dougherty has spent the past three seasons under Chip Kelly with the Bruins, but before that he spent the 2016 working under Jim Harbaugh at Michigan in an offensive analyst role, overlapping with the time Fisch spent in Ann Arbor (2015-16) as pass game coordinator for the Wolverines.
Before his time at Michigan, Dougherty spent three seasons as the offensive coordinator at San Jose State and has prior experience at Washington, San Diego, and Illinois Wesleyan (D-III).
We understand this is not yet a done deal, as UCLA could make a play to keep Dougherty from leaving for a fellow PAC-12 South program.
