Jim Harbaugh has a few additions to his staff in the works, including a few key roles from his Michigan staff, and now appears set to fill an offensive role from an NFL staff.
Sources tell FootballScoop that Andy Bischoff is leaving the Giants staff to join Jim's staff in LA.
Bischoff will be the team's tight ends coach / run game coordinator.
Before landing with the Giants heading into the 2022 season, Bischoff was the tight ends coach for the Texans for a season.
He also spent a number of seasons on staff with John Harbaugh and the Ravens, starting as an offensive quality control coach in 2015 before going on to serve in roles as an offensive assistant and then assistant tight ends coach.
In addition to some time in the CFL with the Alouettes, Bischoff also spent a few seasons with the Bears as their tight ends coach / staff coordinator.
The hire will reunite him with former Harbaugh offensive coordinator Greg Roman, as Bischoff and Roman previously worked on the same side of the ball in Baltimore for a few seasons where Roman, who is also reportedly set to join the Chargers according to reports over the weekend, was the offensive play caller.
