Sources: John McMenamin to be Wayne State College head coach (wayne state college)

John McMenamin will be the next head coach at Wayne State College, sources told FootballScoop on Friday.

Wayne State is a Division II school in Wayne, Neb. The Wildcats compete in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.

McMenamin is currently the offensive coordinator at Central Missouri, a job he has held for the past five seasons. McMenamin's 2017 unit finished No. 2 nationally; the Mules averaged 524.4 yards per game that season.

Prior to Central Missouri, McMenamin spent four years as Wayne State's offensive coordinator. In 2014, his final year in Wayne, the Wildcats ranked in the top 25 in Division II in seven different categories, and quarterback Zach Osborn led the Northern Sun in passing and total offense.

McMenamin also deposited a coordinator stint at Midland University in Nebraska.

Wayne State went 4-7 this season. Dan McLaughlin retired after 15 seasons leading the program on Nov. 21.
