Sources: Kevin Wilson has his offensive coordinator
Sources tell FootballScoop that Steve Spurrier Jr. is heading to Tulsa.
There, he will serve as Kevin Wilson's offensive coordinator.
He arrives at Tulsa after spending the last few seasons with Mike Leach at Mississippi State where he coached the receivers before being elevated to offensive coordinator for the bowl game.
From 2005-15 Spurrier Jr. was on staff at South Carolina, where he served as offensive coordinator / pass game coordinator / wide receivers coach the last few years of his tenure with the Gamecocks.
He spent the 2015 season as an offensive analyst at Oklahoma before landing back on the field at Western Kentucky for a season as assistant head coach and quarterbacks coach.
He joined Mike Leach at Washington State in 2018 as receivers coach and moved to Starkville with The Pirate in 2020.
Kevin Wilson, combined with offensive ideas from the Spurrier and Leach trees, could set up a whole lot of fun this fall.
