Courtney Morgan is returning home.
Well, to his college home.
Multiple sources on Monday told FootballScoop that Morgan, who spent the past year-plus as Fresno State football's director of player personnel, will return to his alma mater, the University of Michigan, in a similar, personnel-centered capacity.
Morgan, a Los Angeles native, was an offensive lineman for the Wolverines in the early-2000s and spent time as a professional sales representative for multiple companies before venturing back into football.
It's been a marked climb for Morgan and his career path since returning to the gridiron and now landing a spot on Jim Harbaugh's Wolverines staff. Per sources, Morgan will be the Wolverines' Director of Player Personnel.
Morgan served just less than a year as a personnel executive for San Jose State's football program before he made the leap to the Bulldogs' top personnel role.
He also previously served as UCLA's Director of Player Development within the past decade.
However, Morgan's found strong success and given back to communities away from the football field.
Per his bio at Fresno, Morgan helped establish a mentoring program with the Los Angeles Boys & Girls Club during his time at UCLA, where Morgan helped guide 110 student-athletes through weekly mentoring sessions as part of a partnership with the Club.
Morgan also helped found Pure Influence Group, and he also held a key role for The Vanguard Group. Past clients have included Cordarrelle Patterson, Von Miller, Keenan Allen and Jack Conklin, among others.
