Jim Harbaugh and Michigan have made some key hires in their recruiting and personnel departments this off season.
After director of recruiting Matt Dudek left for Mississippi State, Courtney Morgan joined the staff in late April as the Wolverines new director of player personnel. Morgan previously served in the same role at both Fresno State and San Jose State and served as the director of player development at UCLA in 2012-13.
Now, sources tell FootballScoop the Wolverines are on the verge of adding Christina DeRuyter to their personnel department.
DeRuyter, the daughter of college coaching veteran Tim DeRuyter, had joined ranks of the SEC as a member of Clark Lea's staff at Vanderbilt back in March.
With the Commodores, DeRuyter had the opportunity to join forces with a completely revamped personnel and recruiting staff led by former 247 director of scouting Barton Simmons as well as Nik Valdiserri and Gerald "Smoke" Dixon.
Prior to joining Lea's staff in Nashville, DeRuyter worked at Texas Tech where she served as the director of on-campus recruiting. DeRuyter’s title in Lubbock also included assistant director of football operations as well.
