Just days into the job, new Oregon State coach Trent Bray is poised for a major move.
Multiple sources tell FootballScoop that Bray is moving to make Ryan Gunderson the new offensive coordinator moving forward for the Beavers.
A former Oregon State quarterback and Portland, Oregon, native, Gunderson has spent the past three seasons as quarterbacks coach for Chip Kelly's UCLA Bruins program.
Additionally, Gunderson has coached quarterbacks and served as the passing game coordinator at San Jose State.
Bray, hired to replace Jonathan Smith after Smith departed for the Michigan State job, has indicated an approach moving forward this month that prioritized formulating his inaugural Oregon State staff and navigating both the NCAA Transfer Portal and the December early signing period.
The Portal opens Monday for all underclassmen, and it has a shorter, 30-day span in this upcoming cycle.
Early signing period runs Dec. 20-22.
The pending move is a reunion of sorts for Bray and Gunderson; their careers as Oregon State Beavers overlapped in the early-2000s.
