Sources: Scott Frost, UCF bringing in veteran administrator with Big Ten, Big 12 experience (Andrew Sims)

Andrew Sims owns experience at almost all levels of college football and in a variety of roles.

Most recently the assistant athletics director for football operations at the University of Arizona, Sims also has multiple Big Ten stops, Group of Five experience and even time at the FCS level.

After previously working with Scott Frost at the University of Nebraska, the duo are set to reunite at Central Florida, which earlier this week hired Frost as its next head coach.

Sources tell FootballScoop that Sims, who owns his doctorate from ETSU, will have a senior role in football administration in Frost's Central Florida Reboot.

Previously chief of staff at Nebraska, Sims was a recruiting intern for the Indiana Hoosiers and climbed a variety of roles at ETSU, going from graduate assistant to full-time director of football operations.

Sims had been at Arizona the previous two seasons and assisted the program's transition to new head coach Brent Brennan prior to the 2024 season.

Frost was awarded a five-year pact earlier this week to return to UCF, which he guided in 2017 to a perfect 13-0 ledger before he accepted the challenge of trying to rebuild his alma mater, Nebraska.
