Sources tell FootballScoop Seth Littrell is reshaping his offensive staff and plans to call the offense himself next season.

Littrell plans to hire Tulsa offensive line coach Mike Bloesch and Argyle (HS – TX) offensive coordinator Tate Wallis sources tell FootballScoop. Both Bloesch and Wallis have experience working with Philip Montgomery, the highly successful offensive coordinator at Baylor who is currently the head coach at Tulsa.

At North Texas, Bloesch is expected to carry the co-offensive coordinator title, while also coaching the offensive line. He has coached the offensive line at Tulsa the past four seasons. Before getting his start in college ball (at Houston – where he played offensive line), Bloesch served as offensive coordinator at Temple High School from 2011-14.

Wallis, who has served as Argyle’s offensive coordinator the past two seasons, was selected by prior winners as the 2015 FootballScoop Receivers Coach of the Year for his work at Baylor. At North Texas, sources tell FootballScoop Wallis is expected to coach the quarterbacks. Wallis played quarterback at SMU.

Tommy Mainord is expected to continue coaching the receivers and also carry the co-offensive coordinator title.

Earlier this off-season Littrell hired Clint Bowen as his new defensive coordinator. North Texas currently has an opening for special teams coordinator.

Our understanding is that Bloesch is a done deal; Wallis is still in the process and is expected to be finalized next week.
