Chidera Uzo-Diribe will be SMU’s next defensive line coach, sources told FootballScoop on Monday. The news was first reported by SMU’s 247 site.

Uzo-Diribe arrives from Kansas, where he coached outside linebackers.

A former Colorado player, Uzo-Diribe began his coaching career at his alma mater as a defensive GA from 2016-18. He then moved to Kansas in 2019 as a defensive quality control before being promoted to outside linebackers coach in 2020.

Uzo-Diribe joins Stefan McClure as new hires on Sonny Dykes’s defensive staff.
