Steve Addazio is hiring Joey Lynch as his offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Colorado State, sources told FootballScoop on Friday.
Lynch is currently the assistant head coach, offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Ball State, a job he has held for the past six seasons. Lynch's Cardinals led the MAC in scoring (34.8 points per game) and total yardage (463 per game) in 2019.
An Indiana native and a former Ball State quarterback, Lynch had been at his alma mater since 2009.
After concluding his playing career in 2006, Lynch graduated to an offensive coordinator position at St. Joseph's College, a Division II school in Rensselear, Ind. After a year there, Lynch spent the 2008 campaign as the offensive coordinator at Ashland University in Ohio before returning to Ball State the following year.
Addazio was hired as Colorado State's head coach on Dec. 11 after going 44-44 in seven seasons at Boston College.
