Sources: Towson making change at offensive coordinator (Towson)

After seeing his team win its final three games of the season and four of its last five, Towson coach Pete Shinnick isn't letting up.

On Monday, sources told FootballScoop that Shinnick had opted to go a different direction at offensive coordinator. Brian Sheppard had been the team's quarterbacks coach and offensive play-caller for the past two seasons.

Sheppard has extensive coaching experience, including work at the FBS level for New Mexico State and Power Four program UCLA, in addition to multiple stints in the FCS ranks.

Towson's seven-win campaign is the program's most since 2019.

The Tigers posted FCS's No. 49 total offense in 2024 at 379.2 yards per game; they were 55th in scoring at 25.8 ppg.
