South Florida is expected to hire Bobby Bentley as wide receivers coach, sources told FootballScoop on Friday.
Earlier today USF announced wide receivers coach Xavier Dye to tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator, making room for Bentley.
Bentley spent the past six seasons in a variety of roles at South Carolina, most recently as tight ends coach.
Bentley and Bulls head coach Jeff Scott's relationship goes back to the South Carolina high school ranks. Bentley went 119-54 as the head coach at Byrnes High School, winning four straight state crowns from 2002-05.
In addition to South Carolina, Bentley has collegiate experience as the head coach at Presbyterian College from 2007-08 and as an offensive analyst under Gus Malzahn at Auburn from 2014-15.
The Bulls will be looking to get this back on track in '21, after a very challenging 2020 season under first year head coach Jeff Scott.
