Longtime Power 4 offensive coordinator Mike Bajakian is joining Utah's staff as an analyst, sources confirmed to FootballScoop on Monday. The news was first reported by ESPN.
Bajakian brings a wealth of play-calling experience to Salt Lake City. He's been the offensive coordinator at Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Tennessee, Boston College and Northwestern, with four years as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterbacks coach in between.
Bajakian joins a Utah offense headed by Andy Ludwig, back for his sixth season in his second stint as Utah's offensive coordinator.
With seventh-year quarterback Cameron Rising returning, the Utes will look to win a Big 12 championship and reach their first College Football Playoff in their Big 12 debut.
