Sources: Western Illinois makes a few adjustments to staff (Western Illinois)

After wrapping up his first spring as a head coach, Joe Davis some spring movement has first-year Leathernecks head coach Joe Davis making a few adjustments to his staff.

One of the moves come after Eastern Illinois hired Cole Hoover away from Western Illinois as their new tight ends coach, a move that was necessary following the departure of EIU's Jordan Walsh for one of the top FCS programs in the country at Montana State.

To fill the tight ends job, special teams coordinator Josh Caraway has added additional duties working with the tight ends and will also serve as recruiting coordinator now.

Also, sources tell FootballScoop Caleb Bonner has been elevated from defensive graduate assistant to outside linebackers coach. He previously worked with the defensive backs.

Sources also share that Marv Ransom will be the team's offensive graduate assistant and handle video duties, and defensive quality control coach Jon Perry has been elevated to a defensive graduate assistant role.

Davis and the Leathernecks will kick off their season against back-to-back FBS teams with trips to Northern Illinois and then Indiana before a third straight road trip to Illinois State as they start their FCS slate of games.
