Sources: William Inge joining Alabama staff (Alabama)

Kalen DeBoer is adding another familiar face to his inaugural University of Alabama staff.

William Inge, who's been Washington's co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach, is joining the Alabama Crimson Tide staff, multiple sources tell FootballScoop.

Inge is again expected to work with the linebackers, sources shared with FootballScoop.

A former Iowa standout who was drafted by the Tennessee Titans, Inge has had a decorated coaching career.

He's been a coordinator at multiple programs, including Buffalo, Indiana and Washington, which is coming off a record-setting campaign in which it won the last-ever PAC-12 Championship game and also finished as runner-up to Michigan in the College Football Playoff.

Inge launched his coaching career at Iowa, where he began as a recruiting coordinator and graduate assistant coach, Additionally, he has coached at Colorado, San Diego State and Northern Iowa.

In addition to his work as the Buffalo Bulls's defensive coordinator, he also coached for the NFL's Buffalo Bills.

DeBoer was hired last month to replace the retired Nick Saban.

His first game as Alabama head coach will be Aug. 31, when the Crimson Tide host Western Kentucky. They have an additional home game the following week against USF before a major intersectional tilt at Wisconsin, where Luke Fickell is entering his second year atop the Badgers program.
