Sources: Wisconsin to hire SEC offensive line coach (Luke Fickell)

Vanderbilt offensive line coach AJ Blazek is expected to take the same job at Wisconsin, sources told FootballScoop on Friday.

Once the model program for offensive line play, Blazek will be Wisconsin's fourth O-line coach in as many seasons.

Jack Bicknell, Jr., joined the staff alongside coordinator Phil Longo as part of Luke Fickell's new staff in 2023, but he was reassigned earlier this week.

Blazek was an All-Big Ten center at Iowa at the turn of the century, then began his coaching career as a GA with the Hawkeyes in 2002. His first full-time job came at Fort Hays State, and he has since coached offensive lines for Winona State, Western Illinois, Rutgers, North Dakota State and Vanderbilt, where he's been since 2021.

Wisconsin went 7-6 in its first season under Fickell. The Badgers finished 40th in yards per carry.
