Youngstown State isn't home for Chris Parry, but it's a central location in the young wide receivers coach's career.
Now, sources tell FootballScoop, Parry is heading back to his coaching roots.
A former wideout at the University of West Virginia, Parry is set to return to Youngstown State as the wide receivers coach for the Penguins, sources tell FootballScoop.
Previously, Parry was on staff at Youngstown State for five years, immediately beginning his coaching career at the FCS program following the conclusion of his time at West Virginia in 2017.
Most recently, Parry was the wideouts coach for NCAA Division II program Slippery Rock, which just uncorked a 12-win 2024 campaign that culminated with a semifinals loss in the NCAA DII Playoffs to eventual national champion Ferris State.
Parry also had a one-year stint in the ACC as a defensive quality control coach on Pat Narduzzi's Pitt Panthers staff in 2022. He was on staff at NCAA DIII program Thiel College in 2023.
Youngstown State dipped to an 4-8 campaign in 2024; the Penguins are scheduled to open their 2025 season Aug. 28 at home against Mercyhurst.
