Star Kentucky assistant Vince Marrow made a semi-pro wrestling cameo
We already know Vince Marrow is a boss.
Last February, Marrow was approached by Mel Tucker to join his new Michigan State staff. He capitalized on his leverage at the perfect time, inking a 3-year contract averaging $900,000 per year, right as the pandemic was approaching us from behind like a horror movie villain.
Kentucky's associate head coach, tight ends coach, recruiting coordinator and NFL liaison is the highest-paid position coach in college football, according to FootballScoop's research.
On Thursday night, Marrow added to his boss credentials by adding "semi-pro wrestler" to his resume.
Marrow made an appearance at the Ohio Valley Wrestling event in Louisville. As you'll see below, Vince "Big Dog" Marrow made a complete fool of Tony Gunn. This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, but we're told some Wildcat recruits were among the crowd.
Marrow was there as a guest of Kentucky Sports Radio's Matt Jones who, best I can tell, is heavily involved in OVW.
Mr. Gunn still seemed upset by the Big Dog's move on Friday afternoon, perhaps setting up a rematch. If and when a rematch does happen, one has to wonder if a Louisville Cardinal or a Tennessee Volunteer works their way into the ring, where the Big Dog will surely take a bite out of them.
As always, stay tuned to The Scoop for the latest.
