Syracuse to hire NFL assistant, former MAC assistant to coordinator role (Myles White Coach)

Syracuse is expected to hire Green Bay Packers coaching assistant Myles White as its wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator, ESPN's Adam Rittenberg reported Tuesday.

White, a former Packers wide receiver himself, joined the coaching staff through a Bill Walsh Diversity Fellowship. He spent 2022-23 as the wide receivers coach at Miami (Ohio), adding passing game coordinator duties in 2023.

A Louisiana Tech product, White played in the NFL and CFL from 2013-18, then entered coaching as a quality control at SMU from 2019-20. White then coached wideouts for Stephen F. Austin in 2022 before moving up to FBS.

White joins Syracuse at a good time. Under first-year head coach Fran Brown and offensive coordinator Jeff Nixon, the Orange led FBS -- by 20 yards per game -- with 370 passing yards per game while improving from 6-7 to 10-3. Syracuse boasted three players that surpassed the 900-yard mark, including wideouts Jackson Meeks (78 grabs for 1,021 yards) and Trebor Pena (84 catches for 941 yards). It was the first time Syracuse pushed a wide receiver above the 700-yard mark since 2020.

White replaces Ross Douglas, who took the same job with Oregon.
