Just a few years ago, the UAB program was left for dead, and if it weren't for the overwhelming outcry of loyal UAB fans, and the fans of college it football, it might have stayed that way.
But a few years away from shutting the football program down, UAB football has undergone a resurgence since the reinstatement of the program, and the latest plans for their new football operations building and pavilion is the latest example of that resurgence.
The Legacy Pavilion part of the facility will give the UAB an avenue to practice in an open-air, roofed environment that will shield them from some of the elements for practices.
Inside, players will have a really nice lobby and new weight room located directly adjacent to the new pavilion.
Take a virtual tour of the new facility in the clip to see how far UAB football has come the past few seasons.
