TCU debuts new lizard scale-inspired uniforms (uniforms)

Army's camouflage uniforms are generally regarded as some of the best alternates in college football.

It works because, you know, it's the Army.

On Friday night, TCU unveiled a uniform set that is the closest thing resembling those Army kits since.

Though it looks like camo at first glance (at least in the eyes of this writer), it's actually lizard scales.

Here's what Nike's corporate-speak press release had to say about them:

The cutting-edge football uniform and new design reflect TCU’s aggressive defense, fast offense and an undeniable intensity on the field.

What do TCU fans think? "Personally, I don't like them. Maybe they'll look good during a game, but right now I think they're terrible. Really the only piece of any of the uniforms that looks good is the purple helmet. Beyond that, no thank you."

I can't say I've ever seen anything like this before, but I'm not sure that's a compliment or an insult. What do you think?
