The Chiefs final touchdown in the Super Bowl wasn't executed like it was supposed to (Corn Dog)

As I watched the Super Bowl on Sunday, a little piece of me was happy to see that defensive lineman who are making millions of dollars sometimes line up in the neutral zone just like

I know I wasn't the only coach to have that cross my mind, and then this morning I see a video that shares the Chiefs weren't lined up in the right formation for their final touchdown of the game.

NFL films released an all access look at the game earlier today where they break down that final touchdown to Sky Moore where that detail gets revealed.

As they break down the play, you can see Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes signal for motion to the wrong side, and he later shares on the sideline that he saw the play clock winding down and sent the motion to the other side (where Sky Moore was lined up), and the play looks to beautifully executed for another touchdown.

Only when cameras capture the interaction between players and coaches on the sideline is it revealed they weren't in the right formation.

Take a look.

Also worth noting...

After the game, Andy Reid spoke with Peter King about those two now famous short motion red zone plays to Kadarius Toney and Moore, and Reid gave some insight into their game planning process.

He also offered up to King what the play call comes in as - "CORN DOG."

How awesome is that?
