The College of New Jersey names FCS coordinator as head coach (The College Of New Jersey Football)

Tyler Moody has been named The College of New Jersey's next head coach, the school has announced.

Moody comes to TCNJ from Stonehill College, where he served as offensive coordinator and associate head coach. In 14 years at the school, Moody spent eight seasons working with the offensive line and six with quarterbacks.

"I'm truly honored to be the next head football coach at The College of New Jersey," Moody said. "TCNJ's commitment to developing highly motivated students and challenging them to pursue excellence resonates with me. I believe in the values of the institution, and I'm excited to contribute to the school's mission by developing our players both on and off the field. The players and current staff have worked tirelessly to build a great foundation here. We'll build on that and continue to strengthen our culture as a football program. I'm excited to connect with the players, staff, alumni, and supporters who make TCNJ Football so special."

Moody inherits a TCNJ program on the upswing. The Lions enjoyed their first winning seasons in 13 tries in 2024 while ranking third in Division III in passing and 23rd in total offense.

"On behalf of the entire TCNJ community, I am excited to welcome Tyler and his family to Ewing as the new head football coach," said AD Liz Shatkus said. "His dedication to enhancing the student-athlete experience, exceptional football IQ, and recruiting ties to New Jersey are exactly what is needed to continue to elevate this program. I look forward to the impact he will make both on and off the field to build a program rooted in excellence and success."
