Moments ago the Division III Playoff bracket was released, illustrating the path to Salem, VA for the best small college football programs in the country.
Interestingly, the two schools that have dominated the Division III landscape for the past decade - Mount Union (OH) and Wisconsin-Whitewater - are on the same side of the bracket this year, meaning the two teams would meet in the semi-finals instead of the Stagg Bowl, as they had nine times in the previous ten seasons.
In all, ten undefeated teams, thirteen-one loss teams, eight-two loss teams, and one-four loss team will battle for the Division III crown.
UW-Whitewater will look to start their defense of back-to-back national titles against an undefeated St. Norbert squad in the first round.
