The view from Northwestern's (almost finished) practice field is one of a kind

Northwestern's new lakeside practice facility on the shores of Lake Michigan has been in the works for a few years now, and players and coaches are itching to finally have it finished and be all moved in.

With progress clearly being made, the Northwestern football Twitter account sent out this picture of the nearly finished lakeside practice field yesterday, and boy is it a beauty.

Not only is the view outstanding, but players are going to love summer workouts with a cool breeze coming off the lake, with the Chicago skyline as the backdrop. This is truly one of the most unique practice field settings in all of football.

In related news, Fitz and his staff like to have some fun during bowl prep, so they brought out a dunk tank and gave the seniors five tries to dunk a coach or staffer of their choice. If they missed on all five, a coach got to put a player in the tank. The fun that transpired is what Northwestern football is known for.
