Todd Berry will be the new executive director of the AFCA, it was announced Monday at the organization's annual convention in San Antonio. The hiring will be formally announced today at the AFCA kickoff luncheon, a source confirmed to FootballScoop.
A 32-year coaching veteran, Berry won 57 games as head coach at Illinois State, Army and most recently at Louisiana-Monroe.
Berry currently serves as the AFCA's first-vice president. Berry succeeds College Football Hall of Fame coach Grant Teaff, who has headed the organization since 1993 but announced his intention to step down in February.
