Maybe Alex Golesh is the forgiving type. Maybe not.
But South Florida's head coach certainly isn't the forgetting type.
After vowing a year ago that his Bulls would remember getting worked at home by Florida Atlantic in a 56-14 blowout-loss, Golesh saw his team emphatically respond Friday night.
Down 14-7 at halftime, the Bulls trampled FAU with a 37-7 second-half surge in their 44-21 win.
It almost was a 46-21 victory, but USF's two-point pass attempt on its final touchdown failed.
It set off this tense postgame scene between Golesh and FAU coach Tom Herman.

Golesh emphasized that his team made good on its promise a year ago but overall downplayed the postgame scene.
"Not a whole lot of back and forth. Nothing really," Golesh said. "Just, I said a year ago we would be back to get it, and we came back to get it.
"Whatever's said is said; I'm good. I think it was said we recruit against each other, I think it was said we don't like each other. I've got a lot of respect for the staff. I think they do a really good job.
"I don't specifically think we recruit against each other. At least, I can't think of a guy that we had to go beat them on. We certainly run into em, got a lot of respect for a lot of those guys."
Golesh then doubled-down on the message sent on the field and added one for the future.
"I said we were coming back to get it," he said. "Last year at the end of the game, we got embarrassed at home.
"We came and got it. And, we'll continue to do so."
