Sources: Tulane deputy A.D. Kortne Gosha headed to Nebraska (Troy Dannen)

Kortne Gosha, who had climbed to the role of deputy athletics director, operations and capital projects at Tulane University, is departing the Green Wave athletics department after two years on staff.

Per sources, Gosha is expected to reunite with Troy Dannen at the University of Nebraska in a senior capacity within athletics.

Dannen, who hired Gosha onto the Tulane executive staff in May 2022, has just finished his fourth month atop University of Nebraska athletics, where he was hired in March as replacement for Trev Alberts when Alberts accepted the top post at Texas A&M.

For Gosha, the move is a return to power-conference athletics after he previously served as associate athletics director for facilities and operations for the Miami Hurricanes.

Additionally, Gosha has collegiate experience at Florida A&M, where he ran the Rattlers athletics department, as well as stints at Jacksonville State and MTSU.

Following Dannen's departure from Tulane in 2023 to take the top job at the University of Washington, the Green Wave eventually turned to former Northern Iowa athletics director David Harris as its new leader in November 2023.

Since that time, Harris hired away Jon Sumrall from Troy as Tulane's new head football after Willie Fritz exited for the Houston job.

The Green Wave open their 2024 football season Aug. 29 at home against Southeastern Louisiana before celebrating the 10th anniversary of Yulman Stadium nine days later in a compelling non-conference home tilt against Big 12 program Kansas State.
