Birmingham-Southern College head coach Anthony Colucci will be the new head coach at St. Charles Prep in Columbus, Ohio, sources told FootballScoop on Monday.
Birmingham-Southern announced last week the college will cease operations on May 31.
Colucci spent five years as Birmingham-Southern's offensive coordinator before his promotion to head coach ahead of the 2023 season. A native of Ashtabula, Ohio, Colucci played at Capital University in Columbus and coached at Centre College in Kentucky before joining the BSC staff in 2017.
Other members of the staff impacted by the dissolution of Birmingham-Southern College include:
-- Assistant head coach/defensive coordinator/defensive backs coach Wil Truelove: A BSC graduate who has been on the coaching staff since 2012.
-- Quarterbacks and running backs coach/recruiting coordinator Charlie Dudley: An Auburn graduate who coached in the Alabama prep ranks before joining the BSC staff in 2022.
-- Defensive line coach Jeremy Austin: A South Carolina graduate with experience at South Carolina, Charlotte, Wofford and Mississippi Valley State.
-- Linebackers coach Court Coley: A 2022 BSC graduate, Coley was the Panthers' team captain and defensive MVP in 2021, and their linebackers coach in 2022.
-- Tight ends coach Trey Gory: A 4-year starter and an all-conference defensive lineman, Gory joined the staff after graduating in 2023.
-- Wide receivers coach Greg Mitchell: An Augsburg University graduate, Mitchell has a wealth of experience coaching skill positions in Division II and Division III. He was on staffs at Emporia State (D-II - KS), St. Olaf College (D-III - MN), Allegheny College (D-III - PA), and Division II Upper Iowa.
