Update at Tennessee Tech (Bobby Wilder)

Below is an updated look at Bobby Wilder's first Tennessee Tech staff, based on announced hires by the school and information provided by sources.

Offense
Brian Scott: associate head coach, offensive coordinator and offensive line coach
John Allen: assistant head coach, wide receivers coach
Eric Acciani: quarterbacks coach
Drew Rodriguez: running backs coach
Ben Blessing: tight ends coach

Scott and Blessing join from New Hampshire, where Scott was the OC and Blessing assisted Scott in coaching the offensive line. New Hampshire finished fourth in FCS in passing and 10th in total offense this season.

"I am extremely excited to announce the hiring of Brian Scott as associate head coach/offensive coordinator," Wilder said. "We have worked together throughout our careers and he has always put together an explosive offense. He will bring an exciting brand of football to Tennessee Tech."

Rodriguez joins after spending 2023 as the offensive line GA at Boston College. He previously coached quarterbacks at Towson.

Acciani was the offensive coordinator at Division II Mercyhurst and worked under Wilder at Old Dominion from 2015-20.

Allen coached most recently as UConn's wide receivers coach in 2022 and brings offensive coordinator experience from Delaware State. He also spent four seasons as the head coach at Division II Lock Haven.

Defense/Support
Adam Braithwaite: defensive coordinator, safeties coach
Frank Wilson, Jr.: assistant head coach, special teams coordinator, linebackers coach
Sam Williamson: defensive line coach
Brandon Blackmon: cornerbacks coach
Travis Ray: graduate assistant
Justin McMullen: general manager, director of player personnel

Braithwaite, Williamson and Blackmon are being retained from the previous staff, in moves that have not yet been announced by Tennessee Tech.

The 2023 campaign was Williamson's 17th at Tennessee Tech, while Braithwaite and Blackmon were in their first season with the Golden Eagles.

Wilson, previously reported by FootballScoop, worked under Wilder at ODU and joins from Norfolk State.

McMullen joins from New Hampshire, where he served in a similar capacity to what he'll do at Tennessee Tech.
