Ellis Johnson was let go yesterday and all of the buzz is focused on Will Muschamp.

Have a listen as Scott provides an update as to what we’re hearing regarding Muschamp, Pelini…and one dark horse candidate.

Boom! [sorry, couldn’t resist]

Update> About 30 minutes after we published this article, AL.com issued an update stating that, per their sources, Will Muschamp and Auburn “have shown mutual interest, but a decision is not expected within the next couple of days”. ¬†AL.com says it is unclear to them who Gus would target if a deal could not be reached with Muschamp. Watch the video above and you will see Scott say Ted Roof would fit the bill.

As always, we’ll keep you posted as things happen on The Scoop.

Our President since 2008, Scott oversees daily operations. An outstanding high school athlete (he wrote that), he chose to go pro in something other than playing football (i.e. he couldn't break a 5.0 40 yard dash). Prior to purchasing FootballScoop, Scott served as a vice president of The Shaw Group, a Fortune 500 company, for eight years.
