Valparaiso announces head coaching change
Landon Fox's contract as Valparaiso's head coach will not be renewed, the program announced Sunday.
Fox spent six seasons atop the program, going 21-42.
"I am grateful for everything that Landon has done for our football program," ADLaurel Hosmer said. "He possesses one of the best Pioneer Football League IQs out there and has worked tirelessly to build the program to where it is now. The timing is right for us to think about the next stage for Valpo Football."
Fox was a finalist for the Eddie Robinson Award as the FCS national coach of the year in the 2021 spring season for leading the program to a 4-2 mark, its best since 2003. However, Valpo did not post a winning record after that; the club concluded a 4-7 season with an 18-17 win over Davidson on Saturday.
Assistant head coach RJ Ghilarducci will serve as interim head coach, and the program has hired Bowlsby Sports Advisors to handle the search.
