Andy Waddle is leaving the Marietta (D-III - OH) program after 12 seasons for an FCS opportunity.
Valparaiso, of the FCS non-scholarship Pioneer League, has selected Waddle as their new head coach.
At Marietta, Waddle inherited a winless team, and had averaged just two wins per season over the past five years.
He made an immediate impact, winning one game in his inital season before slowly building to six wins in his fifth seasons.
In seven of the last eight seasons, Waddle has led Marietta to winning seasons, which marks the best run in over 100 years. The past two seasons have been back-to-back 8-win campaigns.
Waddle leaves ranked second on the school's all-time wins list with 55, just 10 wins behind Joe McDaniel, who had 65.
At Valpo, he takes over a program who decided to not renew the contract of Landon Fox after a 4-7 season, his sixth leading the program.
