Penn State has had some updates in the works for the Lasch football building for some time now, and earlier today they released a really impressive video touting the upcoming improvements.
To keep it short and sweet, the updates are going to be very modern and impressive, and will definitely deliver a "wow" factor to visiting recruits.
"When a young man walks through our doors, we want to be able to tell him 'This is Penn State, we're a national powerhouse, and we're not going anywhere,'" one assistant explains.
From the looks of it, that's precisely the message that they'll be sending.
Among one of the more impressive additions is the "Experience Room" where people will be able to step out on a chunk of artificial grass, and look into a semicircle of screens where it will feel like you're on the field, getting the Penn State experience. Another renovation that will catch your eye is James Franklin's office, which features really nice "outdoor terrace" where he'll be able to entertain recruits and their families.
"You know, there's an arms race out there and the best programs in country are year in, and year out, elevating their game from a facilities standpoint," one coach explains in the clip. "You don't want to be left behind."
Penn State won't have to worry about being left behind after these renovations are done, they'll be sitting in a position of power in the facilities arms race.
