It's a new era of Army football with head coach Jeff Monken now in charge of the Black Knights' program. Fittingly, Army starts its 2014 season trailer with Moken's inspiring words from his introductory press conference.

"We're going to work through this process to put together a program that our Army's going to be proud of. Our Army deserves the best," Monken said back in December. "Fourty-four hundred cadets here that we're going to send out as military officers, and when they go out and do their work, we don't expect them to come in second place so that's not going to be an option around here, either."

Monken went 38-16 in his four years as Georgia Southern's head coach, and worked before that as an assistant at Georgia Tech and Navy. There aren't many more coaches better schooled in the triple option than him. For the sake of Army and the betterment of college football, here's hoping Monken brings his history of success to West Point.
