While the head coach at Boise State, Chris Petersen built a powerhouse, going 92-12 from 2006-2013 and was living a great life. As major college programs inquired about his interest year after year, he declined opportunity after opportunity which left many wondering if he would ever leave Boise.
Then Washington came calling, and Petersen felt like it was too good of an opportunity to pass on.
With a remarkable 47-21 record building the Huskies back up, including three-straight double-digit win seasons dating back to 2016, Petersen has clearly found another place, location, and lifestyle that he genuinely enjoys.
Here’ Washington profiles a day in the life of their head coach, from wake up, to walking on his boat (which is complete with a white board) to take to work.
How many college football programs in the country can you walk out the door to your house and take a short ride on your boat to get to work? Not many at all.
After a tour of the office and coffee (Starbucks of course), Petersen shares what the most important part of his day is, and what he may get into after coaching.
See Petersen’s full day, complete with practices, staff meetings, public appearances, and everything in between, in the clip.
