Video: Eastern Michigan is getting some serious facility upgrades with their "Championship Building Plan" (Featured)

When you take a look and listen to interim AD Christian Spears, head football coach Chris Creighton, and others talk about the new "Championship Building Plan" that was rolled out in Ypsilanti this week to improve the facilities for football and other student athletes, you hear the word "impact" referenced a number of times.

The reason behind that is that those involved in the plans and designs for the new facilities that will include an indoor training facility and student-athlete performance center want the new facilities to have a direct impact on the experience that current, future, and former student athletes have about EMU.

"As I think about why this project would be worthwhile, it's a lot deeper than taking a six inch step or getting a new piece of equipment," Creighton shared in the clip. "It gets down to the very core of their experience. It is going to impact their experience and how people feel about themselves, and how those that are connected to Eastern Michigan feel about each other."

"We're going to help some young person reach their full potential in these facilities," interim AD Spears notes.

Take a closer look at EMU's plans in the video, along with input from a number of players, coaches, and donors.
