Video: Experience why Lane Kiffin’s strength coach at FAU is described as “an animated bottle of 5-hour energy”

The first big hire a new head coach makes is who is going to head up the program’s strength and conditioning efforts.

So while Lane Kiffin was at Alabama, he observed a young, energetic defensive graduate assistant going around energetically headbutting Alabama defensive lineman who were wearing helmets, Kiffin had to ask Kirby Smart who the maniac was.

Come to find out, that enthusiastic individual was Wilson Love who caught Kiffin’s attention was Wilson Love, a former Crimson Tide player who quickly rose from graduate assistant to an assistant strength coach. So when Kiffin got the head coaching job at FAU, he wanted to bring Love’s knowledge and energy with him to Boca.

In the video, you’ll get a firsthand account of why as you witness Love running around the field with a contagious enthusiasm that rubs off on the players. Players, who normally love the chance to imitate and jab at their coaches, admit that they can’t even accurately portray Love because his energy is just at a different level.

Check out Love’s unique energy below.
