Video: Florida State coach chases returner with squirt gun to prepare for tilt with Memphis

The past two days on our podcasts we've touched on the implications of the Florida State vs Memphis matchup.

That may seem odd most years, but sitting here heading into week three fresh off Northern Illinois' upset of Notre Dame, and watching Oregon have their hands full with Boise State while Alabama needed a strong fourth quarter to pull away from Alex Golesh and USF, and it's clear that the Group of Five level is playing some really strong, quality football.

After an 0-2 start, Mike Norvell and Florida State look to get back on track this weekend against good friend and former assistant Ryan Silverfield, who took over the Tigers following the departure of Norvell for Talahassee.

Silverfield has done an impressive job at Memphis, and currently has them ranked as the top Group of Five program in the country, according to our FootballScoop and Athlong Sports Coaches Poll for week 2.

The season is young, but it's their second straight week holding the top spot.

This weekend in Tallahassee, they will get a chance they can compete with anyone on their schedule in a game that is sure to have the attention of fans of college football everywhere.

Early this morning, Florida State was on the practice field preparing for the weekend matchup, with cameras capturing the quarterbacks in some individual work.

That's all normal for a Tuesday just about everywhere, but then, just as DJ Uiagalelei is about to take his rep, a coach with a squirt gun chasing a punt returner enters the background.

Coaches will recognize the presence of the squirt gun at practice as, simply a distraction method meant as a unique challenge the Seminole kick and punt returners. However, it seems like one of those clips that the internet could have some uninhibited fun with if Memphis is able to find a way to win in The Sunshine State this weekend.

The Seminoles and Tigers will kick off at noon EST Saturday on ESPN.
