Year one of the rebuild of the USF program under Jeff Scott and his staff didn't go as planned, as the Bulls struggled to a 1-8 mark.
However, Scott and the USF faithful have plenty to be excited about with a planned new facility on the way.
The new facility will feature an impressive new entryway and multipurpose recruiting space, indoor 100-yard field, 12,000 square foot strength and conditioning center, 10,000 square foot locker room, team meeting room, and nutrition center.
Overall, it will be 88,000 square feet and climate controlled with a lobby and observation deck overlooking the indoor field.
When the facility was initially pitched by USF as it solicited donors for the project, it had a $40 million price tag, but details shared today put the figure at $22 million for phase 1 of the project.
Regardless of the final actual cost, the new facility is going to be really impressive.
Matt Murschel tweets that construction on the indoor performance facility will begin this summer and be finished by the summer of 2022.
In the new virtual tour of the facility, you can see some Clemson-inspired touches from Scott's time under Dabo Swinney carrying over, most notably the "BEST IS THE STANDARD" phrase on one of the facility walls.
More info is coming out later today, as USF teased in this video yesterday, but the video is a great look at what is in store for the future of Jeff Scott's program.
