Video: Kirk Herbstreit leads a deep dive into new EA Sports College Football 25 gameplay

There are a lot of details added to the new game that will matter to coaches.

The hype continues to build, and today EA Sports treated fans to the biggest taste yet of what is to come in the release of College Football 25.

Few voices are as synonymous with college football as Kirk Herbstreit's, and that's who EA chose to deliver the in-depth game play trailer released today.

New in the game are features like Wear and Tear, where users will have to make strategic substitutions and hits like those to a quarterback's throwing arm are destined to have a very real effect on the game.

Player abilities will have both physical and mental aspects in the game now. The physical abilities will allow for things like broken tackles, while a veteran with mental abilities will be alerted in-game to things like blitzes while a young quarterback will be prone to mistakes in a loud, frenzied environment on the road.

Coaches will love to see details of the triple option, user timed handoffs for reverses, and wide offensive line splits at Oklahoma, and the game will also feature a revamped passing attack that will draw the attention of coaches as well.

Users will have unique control over variations in quarterback drops, and there will also be able to provide custom stems to receivers to affect route depth and there will be a number of new hot routes available at the line of scrimmage to choose from.

Herbstreit dives into the details of the game in the clip that will make it truly unique - not just a re-roll out of Madden games, like many have criticized in past games.

The game is set to hit shelves on July 19th, but pre-ordering the game will give you the option of accessing it a few days early.
