David Bailiff is a coaching wizard.
The man went 10-3, winning a share of the Conference USA West Division title, in 2008, and has posted a 25-15 mark over the past three seasons with three consecutive bowl trips and a Conference USA championship in 2013 to boot. All at a small, private school in the middle of a pro sports town and the most competitive recruiting environment in college football all while competing in a conference with zero other small, private schools.
There is no reason for Rice to be this good on the field, and yet here the are.
I wanted to you to everything Bailiff's program has accomplished on the field because this video of the Owls football program signing seven-year-old leukemia patient Fre'derick (Ziggy) Young Redd III to a scholarship clearly shows they're getting it done away from the field as well.
